September 30, 2023. That day changed everything. During a fight, I tore the ligaments in my thumb. After months of scans, check-ups, and waiting, the doctor told me I would need surgery — and that I wouldn’t be able to fight again for a long time.
As a fighter who lived and breathed the ring, sitting on the sidelines wasn’t an option. I stayed close to the action, cornering my friends during their fights and sparring sessions, keeping myself immersed in the world I loved.
Then it happened. I watched a fighter lose his mouthguard after taking a serious combo, and in that instant — Eureka. I realized there was a way to protect athletes better, to give them confidence and security in every exchange.
That moment became the spark that would lead to the creation of Sparta Guards.

Once you place your order, we’ll send you a molding kit with simple step-by-step instructions. You’ll make your impression at home, send it back, and our team will craft your custom-fit mouthguard from your unique mold.
How long does it take to receive my mouthguard?
From the time we receive your mold, your mouthguard is typically ready and shipped within 7–10 business days. You’ll get an email update at every stage of the process.
Can I customize the design and colors?

How do I clean and care for my mouthguard?

How does the process work?
1. We send you a professional impression kit along with a clear step-by-step video guide showing exactly how to take your dental impression.
2. You take your impressions at home, then send them back using the prepaid return envelope included in your kit.
3. Once we receive your impressions, our lab begins crafting your custom Sparta Guard — designed, molded, and finished with precision.
For athletes located in Montréal or Laval, we also offer the option to have one of our certified dental technicians come to you for a professional impression session — ensuring a perfect mold and ultimate precision from the start.
Every guard goes through a strict quality control process before being shipped back — battle-ready and built to perform.
Average turnaround time: 10–14 business days after we receive your dental print impressions.
Can I order if I have braces or aligners?
Custom mouthguards require stable teeth positions for a perfect fit.
If you currently have braces or Invisalign/clear aligners, we cannot create a custom Sparta Guard at this time — the fit would be compromised and your protection reduced.
However, if you have a dental retainer or fixed wire (post-treatment), you can still order. Simply inform us when submitting your impressions, and our lab will make the necessary adjustments for a secure and comfortable fit.

How can I know if my dental impression is good?

Our custom mouthguards are available in three thickness levels, ranging from 3 mm to 5 mm, each designed for a specific level of impact and intensity.

• Léonidas (4 mm) – Balanced protection and flexibility, perfect for intense sparring or high level athletes

Once we receive your impressions, our lab begins crafting your custom Sparta Guard with precision and care. Standard production time is 10–14 business days, ensuring each guard meets our strict quality standards.
For athletes who need their guard faster, we offer an expedited option — receive your custom guard in just 5 business days after we receive your impressions. (A $40 fee per guard applies.)
